OK, we joke around a bit with (Yo! Be careful with my info) part, but we take our Privacy Policy profoundly seriously. College Web Media is the parent company of College Web Mentor (“CWM”). We too, love our privacy and are displeased when people or companies disrespect it. For this reason, we take our user's privacy into consideration, too. Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how CWM deals with our user's privacy. We will attempt to describe how CWM collects, uses, manipulate, stores, destroys, and discloses information in connection with College Web Mentors Services and with our Websites. By accessing our Website, social media accounts, and/or using or viewing our Services, you agree to the provisions of the CWM Privacy Policy and our Terms. Please be advised, capitalized terms have the meanings defined in the CWM Terms. Please visit them for review.
Be advised that except as otherwise described, the CWM Privacy Policy does not apply to the processing of any information by third parties. Meaning, when users seek to apply/inquire to an internship, job notice, private coach contractor, the Services may redirect the user to an Employer’s internship notice, college, or private coach contractor(s) site, and or social media, to submit a resume or application or other information. Information collected through such a third-party site(s) or social media is not subject to this Privacy Policy but is instead subject to the Employer’s, internship notice company, college, or private coach contractor(s) site and or social media privacy policy. Equivalently, information that users submit directly to the aforementioned sites or social media account(s) is not covered by this Privacy Policy.
Users and Members of College Web Mentor Services
College Web Media Services are available to various types of users. The information that our Services collect from and share about a user, is different for some individuals and may depend on the user type or the service that was purchased. For example, an individual may be one or more of the below types of users.
College Web Mentor member (member): A person(s) who uses the College Web Media/Mentor services.
Author: a person who writes a novel, poem, essay, articles, etc.; the composer of a literary work, as distinguished from a compiler, translator, editor, copyist, posts content or creates other content displayed on the Website(s).
Mentor: An experienced and trusted adviser: a person who gives a younger or less experienced person help and advice over a period of time, especially at work or school.
Coach: an experienced person who offers coaching services, through the website(s) as a college and career counselor or job research, or job acquisition coach.
College Web Mentor services include, but are not limited to, mentoring, coaching, resume review, Linkedin review, cover letter writing, career mentoring, career coaching, college class selection, college major selection, college campus selection, internship selection, internship advice. College Web Mentor members can schedule and pay for services offered by our contracted mentors, or coaches. The aforementioned services are offered by but are not limited to email, phone, text message, DM (Direct Message), video chat, SKYPE, IChat, Video conferencing, personal meetings, video messaging.
Employer(s): Entities that have employer profiles on the website; posting internship notices, job notices, job positions for hire using the website and social media.
How CWM uses Information
CWM uses personal and professional information in a variety of ways. Please see the methods listed below.
Personal and Professional Information:
CWM uses the personal and professional information gathered from our Users, Members, Mentors, Coaches, Colleges, College partners, college affiliates, Internship partners, and Employers to:
Provide the services to Users, Members, Mentors, Coaches, Colleges, College partners, Internship partners, and Employers.
Respond to requests, comments, concerns, complaints
Complete a transaction, including but not limited to, complete a transaction that the User or Members initiated
Payment processing
Clarification of credentials, includes but is not limited to, the experience of Mentors, Coaches, Internship positions, employers
Screenings and reference checks
Job notice postings, including, college internships offered and employer job listing
Distribution, transmission, or redirection of User or Members internship, mentorship, coaching, or employer applications
Communications for administrative purposes, by and between CWM related to User and Member Services.
Communication with Users and Members through DM, Email, email notices, text messages, updates, voice mail, newsletters, video messaging, SKYPE, Ichat, or other wi-fi-based communications. This includes marketing and promotional communications about services, products, internships, jobs, and other services that CWM feels will be of interest to Users and Members, mentors, coaches, colleges, college partners, college affiliates, internship partners, and employers
Distribute surveys, contests, marketing, and promotions
Analytics and research regarding the Services. This includes, but is not limited to, improve user experience with the Services CWM offers, and the overall quality of CWM products.
Create a custom experience for Users and Members, as well as detail CWM Services.
Create a custom experience for Users and Members’ interests, both professionally and personally.
Count and recognize visitors to the CWM Services and analyze how visitors use the Services offered.
Compile and share aggregate information
Comply with all legal regulatory requirements, or protect CWM rights and interests under our legal rights.
Engagement in Analytics or targeted marketing, promotion, and advertising is described in the “How CWM Shares Information with Third-Party” section below.

Data and Information College Web Media Collects
College Web Media/College Web Mentor collects data and information from and about our users and members, including but not limited to, personal information. We do this to fulfill our lawful and responsible business interests. This includes all connections with the services we offer to our members and users. The “Personal Information” is any and all information related to an identified or identifiable person, specifically by reference to an identifier such as, but not limited to, a name, email address, phone number, personal college email address, social media handles, social media aliases, social media, or other components specific to a person’s identity. College Web Media/College Web Mentor collects information that is lawfully necessary to fulfill those business interests. As the case may be, we combine Personal Information with other information. Should this be the case, we will lawfully treat the combined information as Personal Information. Also, as is the case, we combine information that we collect about our users and members through Services with additional information that College Web Media/College Web Mentor or third parties collect in other contexts. For example our communications with our members and users via phone, text messages, emails, video chat, SKYPE postage mail, Direct Message (DM) or through users and members customer service records, statements, and invoices. College Web Media/College Web Mentor will lawfully treat the combined information in accordance with the College Web Media/College Web Mentor Privacy Policy. Rest assured.
Users and members can use the website and some of the other services without providing any personal information at all. As the case may be, should a user chose not to provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you access to services or information for or about our services. CWM automatically collects specific information when a user or members uses our Services. CWM Services require users and members to provide Personal Information when registering as a, but not limited to User, Member, Employer, Coach, Mentor, Author, or College. If a User or member login or connects through a third party, social media, please be advised to review the below information.

CWM, as seen fit, will inquire for further information about Mentors, Coaches, Authors, and Influencers to screen and determine if they are a perfect match for CWM services. Information, both professional and personal, thorough, but not limited to, applications, telephone screening, SKYPE calls, IChat calls, and reference checks.
Some of the Mentors, Coaches, Authors, and Influencers, directly or indirectly, working with CWM, as seen fit, have some of their information available to Users and Members, the public, domestically and internationally, for the purpose of, but not limited to, marketing, advertising, promoting, social media, and for the purpose of providing the Services. CWM also collects and retains information pertaining to User and Member reviews and ratings about the Mentors and Coaches

Social Media Data and Information
Users and members may have the option to log in through the CWM Website or other third-party services like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, or Instagram. CWM, as seen fit, CWM may collect information, both personal and professional, from the social media company, including, but not limited to, username, cell phone, email address, images, photos, affiliates, industry, location, and all available URL profile information, as well as other information available in the social media site or in a public search engine. Users and Members’ approval for permission before they can log in to the CWM Website using their social media account(s) or connecting their social media accounts to the CWM website. Users and Members agree by providing such information, they consent, represent, and warrant; they satisfy the terms for such accounts and have full authority to provide CWM with all information about their social media connections.
Surveys
Periodically, CWM will ask its Users, Mentors, Coaches, Employers, to participate in surveys questionnaires, contests, promotions, sweepstakes. As seen fit, personal or professional information may be required to collect from the aforementioned parties. Of course, participation is completely voluntary. Declining to participate will not affect the use of Services.
Payment Date and Information
CWM collects certain data and information for billing purposes when purchasing our paid Services. This includes, but is not limited to, payment card details. CWM collects through secure patent processing services used to manage CWM credit card processing. We do not store this information on our own servers. Automated information collected through CWM Services, such as IP address, domain name, current location as inferred from your IP address, internet/communications provider, date, time of your visit to the Website, as well as the User or Members use of the Services during their current session(s) and duration of time on the website, this includes, but is not limited to pages on the website, all downloaded files in various file formats, URLs from websites visited before, during and after navigating the Website. This includes the Users, Mentors, Employers, visitors’ computers, tablets, smartphones, phones, operating systems, browser type, all software, hardware attributes including, but not limited to device IDs. CWM Services uses cookies for the purpose of distributing advertising content that is relevant to the User and Member of Services.
At any time, should Users or Members be uncomfortable having cookies on their computer, smartphone, or tablet, or Ipad, Users and Members can set their browser to reject and refuse all cookies, or make it clear when a cookie is being set, granting the User or Member to decide upon accepting it. As seen fit, Users and Members can delete cookies from their computer, smartphone, tablet, or Ipad at any time. If a User or Member chooses to delete or block cookies, some features will not work on the website. For example, if a User or Members uses the services on the website, and then deletes the cookies immediately afterward, they will have to enter their username and password all over again upon returning to the Website Services.
Local Storage
CWM deploys HTML local storage for the use of collecting and retaining, but not limited to professional and personal information about Users and Members. This data, however, is not deleted when cookies are cleared from a User or Member. For more information on deleting local storage see this link.

CWM collects, and records User and Member data, both personal and professional information from the computer or mobile device used when visiting the Website. This may include but is not limited to, IP address, pages visited, features used, visited, or accessed on the Website; and general geographic location as implied from the User or Members IP address. This information is gathered by using server logs or other applications with the same capabilities that recognize a User or Members online activity via computer, cell phone, tablet, or Ipad.

Users and Members, when using Services from CWM, may have an application(s) known as a “pixel tag” (“clear gif” or “web beacon”). Pixel tags are small blocks of code on the Webpage that read and place cookies. The connection can include information such as the User or Members IP address, the time the User or Members viewed the pixel, and the type of browser being used. Blocking or deleting the use of cookies will not stop the gathering of data through pixel tags and similar tracking mechanisms. Users and Members have to authority to limit information used for marketing and advertising purposes. This does not mean that CWM may not use the information for analytics or other purposes.

Third-Party Information Collection
As seen fit, third-party sites may use mechanisms or software to track users as they navigate to, through, or away from third-party sites. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking pixels, scripts, or other tracking mechanisms or software to identify when a User or Member is using the Website, or email, to visit a third party to apply for an internship, college, or job. Collection of this and similar information allows CWM to but is limited to, analyze how Users or Members are using the Services. Specifically, for a particular internship position, college, or job position they are applying for. CWM does not disclose Personal or Professional data with combined tracking data to CWM third parties, data may be provided that is classified as de-identified information and analytical data.

CWM uses third-party service providers to help CWM manage and improve the Services. CWM provides third parties with the information they need to perform their services. CWM stipulates that User and Member privacy is upheld, respected, and protected. Third-party service providers may acquire/use User and Member professional and personal information, to better assist CWM in achieving the purposes discussed in the CWM Privacy Policy. CWM uses third parties to help manage CWM information systems, including, but not limited to, eCommerce and communications, as well as manage CWM relationships and correspondence with Users and Members, deliver marketing, promotions, advertising, public relations, and administrative communications; manage relationships with the people and companies that use CWM Services. CWM shares User and Member information to allow CWM to communicate marketing, advertising, and other pertinent information which may be beneficial to Users and Members. This is also executed through third-party platforms as well as through social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Users and Members have the option to customize the delivery of this content.
CWM Business Partners and Affiliates
CWM also, may share with CWM affiliates and business partners, User and Member information, including but not limited to, professional and personal information. CWM will do this to achieve User and Member call for the CWM Services. CWM will also, do this to complete User and Member transactions that are initiated online. This also includes User and Member fulfillment of any terms of any agreement with CWM or CWM business partners.
Example: A User or Member may apply for an internship through their college, or from a referral from a mentor or coach, and their contact information may be passed from a college contact, a mentor, a coach, or an affiliate of CWM, to help secure an introduction.
User and Member Direct Sharing
User and Member direct sharing of information, both professional and personal through third-parties, such as websites, email, or social media, maybe permitted and allow Users and Members to share this information directly through the CWM Services or third-party companies.
Example: CWM Services allow Users or Mentors can upload a letter of recommendation onto the Website and share it through social media, or through Linkedin for their profile. Or a User or Member can upload their resume to, Linkedin, a college, or employer to apply for a particular position, this may be done through third-party companies or websites, as well as post content that relates to the User or Members comments, questions, or general concerns, or through a discussion forum(s).
CWM Services may provide communication through text messages or text-based means of communication, as well as communications through “chat” platforms to connect Users and Members to Mentors, Coaches, and other Users or Members of Services. As seen fit, CWM services may incorporate links to third-party software and websites that allow features found in social media entities, such as comments, DM (Direct Messages), reviews, “Like”, “follow”, or ”Share” features. Should a User or Members use the aforementioned features, Personal and Professional information may be collected, shared, disclosed, or used by, but not limited to third-party websites and services, as well as their users and the general public. Please note, these companies (third-party), websites, and services are not owned or operated by CWM, hence, CWM is not, in any way, responsible for actions, posts, practices, procedures, policies by the third parties. Also, gathering of User or Members information by the aforementioned third parties is conditional to their privacy policies, and NOT to the CWM Privacy Policy.
Additional Users of CWM Services
CWM, as seen fit, will share professional and personal information with other users of the Services. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing with Mentors, Coaches, College administration, and Employers.
Example: If a User or Member submits information to CWM for an internship or a job, CWM can share the submitted information with the aforementioned entities for review or evaluation for processing. Equivalently, CWM can share User or Members information, both personal and professional, and contact information with Mentors and Coaches, to make contact and communicate directly. This includes social media contact information as well.
Third-Party Practice
CWM Services, as seen fit, integrates certain third-party software in the form of plug-ins.
Example: Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram (“like”, “heart symbol”, “Follow”, “comment” buttons). Please note, regardless if a User or Member does not apply the aforementioned plug-ins, information personal and professional, may be collected. This includes, but is not limited to, a User or Member IP address, or the pages navigated, or both.
These third parties, as seen fit, place and, or access cookies. Please note, third-party plug-ins are NOT governed by the CWM Privacy Policy. They are administered by the company that provided them through CMW.
Analytics and Advertising by Third-Parties
CWM does carry working relationships with third-party companies (partners). These third parties collect User and Member information, both personal and professional, to apply analytics, auditing, research, surveys, as well as reporting. They, as seen fit, use weblogs, pixel tags, or other web-based or online tracking software and mechanisms. Cookies, as seen fit, are set and access cookies from a User or Members computer, laptop, Ipad, tablet, or smartphone.
Example: When Users or Members send applications for internships, jobs, letters of recommendation; at which time, these Employers, colleges, or businesses seeking internships, as seen fit, use scripts and pixel tags furnished by CWM to track when and how Users and Members maneuver to the aforementioned entities via, but not limited to, websites, and social media accounts, to apply, or submit applications, resumes, or letters of recommendations.
CWM also uses Google Analytics for all of the aforementioned reasons. Users and Members have the option to opt-out of the use of cookies from Google Analytics via this link. CWM Services, as seen fit, enables third-party tracking software and mechanisms to track, compile information, both personal and professional on the CWM Services over time, transversely independent websites for use in online marketing and behavioral advertising.
Example: Third parties, as seen fit, use circumstances upon User and Member visits to the CWM Services, furthermore, target online marketing and advertising for the CWM Services via websites that are not associated or affiliated with CWM.
Furthermore, third-party marketing and advertising associations, as seen fit, use the information regarding User and Member use of Services, to better gain an understanding on how to target advertising and marketing campaigns. These marketing and advertising campaigns may be unrelated to CWM or its services but based on your behavior online.

Legal Resolve
CWM, as seen fit, uses or shares User and Member professional and personal information with third parties when CWM believes or, in CWM’s sole discretion, as seen fit:
To comply with applicable law(s) or court order, subpoena, request from government or law enforcement or another legal process; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violation of CWM terms and conditions, or situations involving threats to CWM property, mentors, mentees, employees, or other person or a third party; to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or to facilitate the financing, securitizations, merger, insuring, assignment, sale, bankruptcy, disposal of all or part of our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or another disposal of all, or part of CWM business or CWM assets.
Sale Merger, Reorganization, Dissolution
As seen fit, should CWM actually be sold, be involved in a merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event relating to all or a fragment of CWM, or assets, User and Member information, including, but not limited to, both professional and personal, maybe part of the acquired and or transferred assets.

As seen fit, CWM will compile and distribute de-identified information about Users and Members of CWM Services.
Example: CWM will publish reports on trends on User and Members use of the CWM Services. As seen fit, CWM will share aggregated information regarding historical and real-time trends in, but not limited to, mentoring, employment, and internships. Furthermore, CWM, as seen fit, will distribute de-identified or aggregated information about data, numbers, categories, and or creations of Users and Members who submit applications such as, but not limited to, internships, admission, and jobs/employment; on the website of CWM business associates, business partners, or third-parties, or who click on third-party or business partners links, or social media accounts associated with them. This could be from, but not limited to, a college listing, employer listing, or social media post, or article, video, or podcast link.
Security
CWM utilizes procedural, as well as, electronic and physical shields and bulwarks to defends User and Member professional and personal information from any loss, unauthorized, or illegitimate access, use or modification, and or, deletion. Please keep in mind, no security software or program is 100% secure. As a consequence, CWM can not, absolutely, guarantee the security of your professional and private information.
User and Member Choices and Access to Information
User and Members physical location dictates applicable law demands; User and Members, as seen fit, have choices, regarding, and with respect to their professional and personal information:
The right to access one's own User and Member personal information.
The right to update one's own User and Member personal information.
The right to email CWM your updates via email.
Amending the personal details contained in one’s own User or Member registered account with CWM.
CWM will, for all intents and purposes, possibly make corrections, only where appropriate, based on the User or Members updated information.
Users and Members have the right to withdraw consent, regarding Professional and Personal information assembled, based on consent.
Users and Members have the right to request deletion of professional and personal information.
Users and Members have the right to object the processing of Professional and Personal information.
Users and Members have the right to register, where applicable, a complaint with CWM, a supervising authority, manager.

At any time, if a User or Member no longer wants to receive advertising and marketing communications from CWM, they can follow the UNSUBSCRIBE instructions found at the bottom of CWM emails. However, if a User or Member unsubscribes from our Advertising and marketing communications, they will still receive messages that are administrative in nature. Also, because of technological reasons, should a User or Member request; there will be delays in accessing or deleting professional or personal information from CWM software and systems. Furthermore, CWM retains professional and personal information, to comply with the law, protect CWM and other’s rights, resolve disputes or enforce CWM legal terms or policies, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
Children’s Privacy Policy
CWM Services are in no way, shape, or form directed to children under the age of 16 years of age. Furthermore, CWM does not knowingly collect Personal information or other information from anyone under the age of 16 years of age.
Transfer of Information to the United States
Information gathered through, and or in connection with CWM, Services is transferred to, as well as processed in the United States for the purposes in the text provided in this CWM Privacy Policy. In these other countries, the data protection laws, as seen fit, are different from that of the United States, or perhaps less strict than, those in a User or Members country of residence, or where they may be using the CWM Service at that moment. In accepting the CWM Privacy Policy, as well as using the CWM Services, as well as providing professional, personal information to CWM, a User and Member expressly and intentionally consent to such transfer and processing.
Privacy Policy Changes
Because Technology and web-based business, and the internet is constantly changing daily, CWM, as seen fit, will change the services in the future, as a consequence of these changes.
CWM will, as seen fit, revise the CWM Privacy Policy to reflect those changes. CWM will post the revised Privacy Policy on the CWM Website with a “Revised date” indicating when the Privacy Policy will take effect. CWM will also notify User and Members of any such changes. This will be done under the provided Terms of any and all such changes. CWM strongly recommends, as well as encourages Users and Members to review the CWM Privacy Policy regularly.

Furthermore, CWM requests that CWM Users, including but not limited to, members, interns, employees, possible new employees, coaches, third-parties, and affiliates, DO NOT send or disclose sensitive information (professional or private) on our services, this includes, but is not limited to, CWM social media outlets. Professional and Personal information includes, but is not limited to, social security numbers, credit score, financial account information. Information related to or revealing racial or ethnic origin, religion or other beliefs, political opinions, criminal background, health, or union (trade union) membership.
